Safety and Criticality Engineer Northwest £65k £85k + benefits We re looking for a Safety and Criticality Engineer to join a leading nuclear and energy organisation. This is a hands-on role supporting criticality and nuclear hazard assessments for complex engineering projects. You ll be: Performing design safety analysis for nuclear and high-hazard systems. Conducting and following up on HAZOP, HAZAN, HAZID studies. Producing criticality safety and dose calculations using MONK and MCNP. Reviewing and contributing to safety documentation and licence submissions. Providing technical support to project teams and customers on safety matters. We re looking for someone with: Degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline. 5+ years experience in safety analysis, ideally with criticality focus. Hands-on experience with MONK, MCNP, or equivalent tools. Strong communication and organisational skills. Eligibility for or holding DV Security Clearance. Flexible approach, occasional travel or out-of-hours work.
