E3 Recruitment is recruiting a Head of Strategic Marketing for a manufacturing business operating within the construction sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Manager to influence the direction of the business, shape its growth strategy and lead its approach to new product markets and sales channels.

Reporting directly to the Board, you will establish marketing as a central driver of commercial performance. The role has a strong focus on strategy, market development and identifying where the business can grow, using customer insight, competitor analysis and market intelligence to turn opportunities into clear commercial plans.

You will work closely with Sales, Technical, product development and wider business functions, ensuring marketing insight supports decisions across the organisation. A key responsibility will be building the commercial case for entering new markets and channels: explaining the opportunity, the customer need, the competitive landscape and how the business can succeed.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a strategic marketing plan aligned with the business''s growth ambitions.
• Identify and assess new product markets, customer segments and routes to market.
• Build evidence-based business cases for expansion into new channels, including market potential, investment requirements and expected commercial returns.
• Support all areas of Sales with market intelligence, customer insight, clear product positioning and targeted marketing activity.
• Lead go-to-market strategies for new and existing products, translating technical capabilities into compelling customer benefits.
• Work with Technical and product development teams to ensure customer needs and market opportunities inform future products and solutions.
• Present recommendations, performance updates and growth opportunities directly to the Board.
• Develop a proactive marketing function, with clear priorities and measurable commercial outcomes.
• Strengthen the business''s reputation for innovation, sustainability and customer value.

About you:

You will bring senior strategic marketing experience, ideally within manufacturing, construction, building products or a related technical sector. You will be able to demonstrate how your insight and marketing strategy have supported sales growth, informed product development or opened new markets.

Strong commercial judgement is essential, alongside the ability to challenge established thinking, influence senior stakeholders and turn complex market information into practical recommendations.

The role offers hybrid working. Applicants must be able to commute regularly to the company''s site in the East London area.
