This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong technical knowledge of extrusion processes and proven team leadership capabilities, who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the extrusion department, ensuring production targets, product quality, and health and safety standards are consistently achieved. Lead and mentor a team of extrusion operators and packers. Manage staffing levels, shift patterns, and resource planning. Implement and maintain procedures for tooling setup and quality control processes. Liaise cross-functionally with Maintenance, Toolroom, Warehouse, and Mixing Plant departments to ensure efficient operations. Analyse performance data, troubleshoot faults, investigate returns, and implement continuous improvement strategies. Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 standards and lean manufacturing principles. Provide backup in quality control including physical property testing. Support and coordinate material trials with the Mixing Plant Manager to enhance formulation performance.
