The Role & About the Client
ITS Construction Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced LGV Class 1 Driver to join a well-established and growing plant hire business based in Hertfordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious driver to join a busy operation, transporting plant machinery and equipment to construction sites and customer locations. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring equipment is delivered and collected safely, efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Safely operating an LGV Class 1 vehicle to transport plant machinery and equipment.
• Delivering and collecting equipment from construction sites, depots and customer locations.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Ensuring full compliance with road traffic legislation, tachograph regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Maintaining accurate driving records and completing all required paperwork.
• Communicating professionally with customers, site personnel and depot colleagues.
• Ensuring all loads are secured correctly and transported safely.
• Following company health and safety procedures and reporting any incidents or concerns.
• Supporting the wider transport and plant hire operation when required.

Requirements

• Full, valid Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• CSCS Health and Safety Site Visitor Card.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety, load security and daily vehicle maintenance checks.
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
• Previous experience in LGV driving, plant hire, construction or machinery transport would be advantageous.
• A reliable, flexible and safety-focused attitude.
