Job Purpose: To provide a professional, responsive, and effective security service across Trust sites, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, visitors, and property. Key Responsibilities:Carry out regular security patrols of buildings, grounds, and car parksRespond promptly to security incidents, emergency calls, and alarm activationsControl access through locking and unlocking proceduresMaintain accurate electronic security logs and incident reportsLiaise with Trust staff, members of the public, and police as requiredSupport porter services, including escorting, postal duties, and ad-hoc tasksAssist with car park management, enforcement, and cash collection where requiredWork flexibly across a 24/7 shift rota, including nights, weekends, and bank holidaysEssential Requirements:Full UK clean driving licence (must have)Previous experience in a security role or customer-facing environmentAbility to work under pressure and handle incidents professionallyGood communication and report-writing skillsPhysically fit to undertake foot patrols and standing for long periodsWillingness to work shifts on a rotational 24/7 basisDesirable:SIA Frontline Manned Guarding Licence or NVQ Level 2 in SecurityExperience in a healthcare or public-sector environment
