About the Financial Advocate and Appointee role: An exciting opportunity has arisen in Nottingham for a Named Financial Advocate to act in the role of appointee and financial advocate for people with a learning disability. Money is essential for so much of everyday life and how we use money can be a very personal thing. As an advocate you will support people to manage their finances. You will get to know the individuals and help them, their support team and family use their money to achieve their goals and live the life they choose. You will also be responsible for managing their benefit claims and budget and arranging bill payments. This will enable them to reach decisions, make informed choices and express their views, giving them more control and independence with their money.
