What you will be doing
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will be actively involved in project delivery and development. You will be doing the following:
·Assisting in the design and analysis of structural elements using industry-standard software
·Preparing calculations, drawings, and technical reports
·Supporting senior engineers on a variety of building projects
·Attending site visits and inspections to understand construction processes
·Liaising with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders
·Developing your knowledge of UK design standards and best practices
What you will need to succeed
To be successful as a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will ideally have:
·A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a closely related discipline)
·A strong understanding of structural principles and materials
·Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or similar
·Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
·A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
·A desire to work towards professional accreditation (e.g. ICE or IStructE)
