Postal Delivery Worker

Hourly Rate: -16.24 per hour Monday - Sunday

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Postal Delivery Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages to various locations.

This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to safety regulations.

This is a hybrid position and you may be required to work a walking or driving route.

Duties

• Deliver mail and packages to designated addresses in a timely manner.
• Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws.
• Sort and organise mail prior to delivery, ensuring accurate distribution.
• Maintain records of deliveries and returns, reporting any discrepancies as necessary.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of mail from vehicles, which may involve heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a valid driving licence.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous.
• Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, as it aids in understanding logistics.
• Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the loading and unloading of mail.
