Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter looking for a new challenge with a forward-thinking manufacturing business? We’re currently recruiting for a Nightshift Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established timber processing facility based in Humbie, East Lothian.


About the Role
Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a range of mechanical equipment to ensure maximum plant uptime and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and replace damaged or faulty equipment.
• Respond quickly to plant downtime and support production teams.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and site overhauls.
• Use IT systems to log completed work and maintenance records.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety, and quality standards.

• Fully qualified mechanical fitter (apprenticeship or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a heavy mechanical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• A team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
• Flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious.
• Having a drivers licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial due to the location and shift pattern
