The company operates a range of large-scale production machinery and is looking to strengthen its engineering team with an experienced Maintenance Fitter who can support equipment reliability, minimise downtime and keep production running efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased Maintenance Fitter who enjoys practical fault finding, working with heavy industrial equipment and developing their skills across a range of mechanical and electrical systems. Maintenance Fitter ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy industrial production machinery.Diagnose and repair mechanical faults involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Undertake mechanical fitting, assembly, component replacement and general repairs.Carry out welding, fabrication and mechanical modifications where required.Perform basic electrical fault finding on motors, control systems and associated equipment.Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.Support breakdown response and planned maintenance activities to minimise production downtime.
