MMP Consultancy are currently recruting for the below multi trade opertive role based working around Reading.

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Rate: -21.40 per hour
Engagement: CIS
Type: Ongoing / Long-term Contract

We are seeking a skilled Multi Trade Operative to carry out reactive and planned maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties across the Reading area. The role requires a reliable, customer-focused tradesperson capable of delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance in tenants'' homes.

• Undertake a wide range of reactive maintenance repairs, responding promptly and efficiently to reported issues
• Carry out planned maintenance works in line with work schedules and specifications
• Perform multi-trade tasks including, but not limited to:
  • Carpentry (repairs, doors, locks, kitchens)
  • Basic plumbing (leaks, taps, sinks, WC repairs)
  • Plaster patching and making good
  • Tiling repairs
  • Painting and decorating (minor works)
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with health and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records of works completed using job sheets or handheld devices
• Provide an excellent level of customer service when working in tenants'' homes
• Work independently and manage workload effectively

• Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing or domestic maintenance
• Strong all-round trade skills with at least one core trade background
• Experience working on reactive repairs and planned maintenance
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements
• Ability to communicate professionally with tenants, supervisors, and housing officers

• Relevant trade qualifications e.g NVQ or City & Guilds
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Basic DBS check will be required if successful

• Competitive rate of -21.40 per hour (CIS)
