We are looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to support a school in the Swanwick area.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and securing the school premises.

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.

• Completing routine site checks and reporting any issues.

• Ensuring the school grounds and external areas are maintained.

• Supporting deliveries and contractors.

• Maintaining a safe environment for staff and pupils.

Requirements:

• Previous caretaking or maintenance experience preferred.

• A practical, hands-on approach.

• Ability to work independently and use initiative.

• Good awareness of health and safety.

• Reliable and trustworthy.

Compliance Requirements:

All candidates must complete The Supply Register''s compliance process before commencing work. This includes:

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service preferred, or willingness to obtain a new DBS.

• Minimum of two employer references covering the previous 24 months.

• Three references required if you have not previously worked with children.

• Professional character reference for any unexplained employment gaps.

• Proof of Right to Work in the UK.

• Two proofs of address (utility bill or bank statement dated within the last three months, or council tax bill dated within the last 12 months).

• Proof of National Insurance.

• Proof of any name changes, where applicable.

• Overseas police check if you have lived outside the UK for more than six months.

• Completion of mandatory online training courses arranged by The Supply Register.
