Daily Rate: £85.50 – £120 per day
About the Role
We are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil within a welcoming primary school setting. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them access learning in a nurturing and structured environment.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support the child’s learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with additional needs
- Support the child’s learning, communication and social development
- Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s support plan or EHCP where applicable
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Support classroom engagement and participation in learning activities

The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children, ideally in a SEN or primary setting
- Be patient, caring and resilient
- Have strong communication skills and a proactive approach
- Be committed to safeguarding and supporting children’s wellbeing
- Be able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
