We''re recruiting an experienced Housing Officer to join a local authority housing service delivering a high-quality, customer-focused housing management service across a diverse borough.This role offers the opportunity to manage a patch-based caseload, supporting council tenants and leaseholders across tenancy management, rent enforcement, anti-social behaviour, estate management and customer engagement. You''ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary housing team, helping to maintain standards across the council''s housing stock while supporting residents to sustain their tenancies. The Role Deliver a comprehensive housing management service to council tenants and leaseholders across a defined patch. Act as a key point of contact for residents, responding to enquiries in person, in writing and by telephone within corporate timescales. Manage tenancy and leasehold issues including tenancy sign-ups, mutual exchanges, succession, assignments, transfers and right to buy enquiries. Implement rent arrears recovery procedures, including liaison with Legal Services and attendance at court hearings and evictions where required. Manage and respond to complaints and anti-social behaviour cases, using a professional and proportionate approach, including prevention, mediation and enforcement action.
