This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with payroll while also supporting and developing a team. We''re looking for someone who is confident managing the full payroll process, has a good understanding of UK payroll legislation and enjoys finding ways to make processes more efficient. The Role As Payroll Team Leader, you''ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day payroll function, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include: Managing and supporting the payroll team, providing guidance, training and development. Overseeing the end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls. Ensuring all payroll information is accurate and processed within deadlines. Managing starters, leavers, payroll adjustments and statutory payments. Processing HMRC submissions, including FPS, EPS and RTI. Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, including National Minimum Wage requirements. Managing pension contributions, third-party payments and payroll deductions. Investigating and resolving complex payroll queries, discrepancies and overpayments. Supporting payroll reconciliations, reporting and month-end processes. Working closely with HR, Finance and other departments to ensure payroll information is accurate.
