Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk (Temporary - 6 Months) Location: Chippenham Pay Rate: 14.00 - 15.00 per hour (depending on experience) Contract Type: TemporaryAbout the Role We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team on a temporary basis for 6 months. This role will support the purchase ledger function, ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices, timely payments, and effective reconciliation of supplier accounts. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong purchase ledger experience looking for a short-term role within a supportive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess supplier invoices, ensuring accurate matching, batching, and codingPost invoices to the accounting system in a timely mannerReconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepanciesPrepare and assist with weekly/monthly payment runsHandle supplier queries via phone and emailMaintain accurate purchase ledger recordsSet up new suppliers and maintain supplier master dataSupport month-end close activities, including accruals and reportingAssist with audit requirements where necessaryAd-hoc finance and administrative tasks as requiredKey Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable roleStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyGood reconciliation and numerical skillsConfident communication skillsAble to work to deadlines and manage a varied workloadProficient in Microsoft Excel and accountin
