Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.

• Implement strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

• Help students manage their emotions and build healthy relationships with peers and staff.

• Monitor and report on student progress, behaviour incidents, and support plans.

• Act as a positive role model, reinforcing school values and expectations.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (in school, youth work, care, or similar settings).

• Calm, resilient, and confident when managing challenging situations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.

• A proactive, flexible, and empathetic approach.

• Relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA, de-escalation techniques) is desirable but not essential.
