Behaviour Support Assistant Sports
Are you someone who can build strong relationships with young people, provide a positive role model and use their interests to help them engage, develop confidence and reach their potential? Aspire People is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work on a long-term basis within a specialist SEND school in Stockport, supporting secondary and college-aged pupils with a range of additional needs. We''re particularly interested in people who have developed strong relationship-building and mentoring skills through backgrounds such as sports coaching, youth work, children''s residential care, mentoring, SEND support or other roles working with young people. You don''t necessarily need to have followed a traditional route into education. For this school, your ability to connect with young people, remain calm and consistent and become a trusted, positive influence is incredibly important. The Role You''ll work alongside an experienced SEND team, supporting young people to access their education and develop the wider skills they need for adulthood. Depending on the pupils you''re supporting, your role could involve: Building strong and consistent relationships with young people. Supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH and additional complex learning needs. Helping pupils engage positively with learning and school life.
