We''re recruiting on behalf of our client for a Production Engineer who can solve manufacturing challenges and turn improvement ideas into practical results.

Supporting production and CNC machining operations, you''ll help improve how products are made, equipment is used and work moves through the factory.

The role as Production Engineer:

• Resolve production issues, reduce downtime and remove process bottlenecks.
• Design tooling, jigs and fixtures in SolidWorks and improve factory layouts using AutoCAD.
• Apply Lean and continuous improvement methods to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Keep manufacturing instructions, risk assessments, PFMEAs and machine setup documentation accurate
• Use time studies and cost analysis to improve capacity planning and ERP routings.
• Support equipment investment, process changes and staff training while maintaining safety and quality standards.

What you''ll bring as Production Engineer:

• Production, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering experience in high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing.
• CNC machine shop experience is essential.
• A relevant engineering HND or degree.
• Strong 3D CAD, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing and engineering change control.
• CNC programming or setting, electro-mechanical assembly, ERP/MRP systems and Six Sigma qualifications would be advantageous.
