Test Technician
Location: Letchworth Garden City
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 8:00am - 1:30pm
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent
 
We are recruiting for a Test Technician to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Letchworth Garden City.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest or background in electronics who is looking to develop their technical skills within a hands-on production and engineering environment. You will work closely with both the Production and Engineering teams, supporting the testing and quality of a range of electronic products.

Full training will be provided, with opportunities to develop your skills, gain further qualifications and progress within the business.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out PCB-level and complete system testing on a variety of electronic products.
• Test power-related equipment including AC/DC and DC/DC products, UPS systems and battery management products.
• Ensure testing is completed accurately and in line with required quality standards and work instructions.
• Take responsibility for the calibration and upkeep of company test equipment.
• Assist the Engineering team with design verification and product testing.
• Identify and report any faults or issues found during the testing process.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering colleagues to ensure products are completed on time and to the required standard.
• Maintain a safe, organised and quality-focused working environment.

 
Key Skills & Experience Desired:

• Electronic assembly experience
• Soldering & SMT experience
• Cable and wiring assembly
• Mechanical assembly
• Electronic or electrical testing
• Working within an engineering, production or manufacturing environment
• Good computer skills
• Ability to follow technical instructions and defined processes
• Good attention to detail and a strong approach to quality
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Keen to learn, develop and take on additional responsibilities
