Location: Heathrow Salary: up to 70,000 basic + car allowance + commission Summary: We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow the ocean freight business of this well-established freight forwarder. A hybrid role with offices in Heathrow, this position is ideal for a proactive new-business hunter with freight forwarding sales experience, an established customer network and a consultative approach. You will focus on winning new containerised and less-than-container-load (LCL) business across key trade lanes, including China and India imports into the UK and UK exports to the USA.Key Responsibilities:Identify, target and win new ocean freight customers, building a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities.Develop business across China-UK and India-UK import lanes and UK-USA export lanes.Use your customer network and trade lane knowledge to identify opportunities for containerised and LCL freight.Independently source leads and secure high-impact customer meetings.Understand customer requirements and present consultative, value-driven freight solutions.Build relationships with decision-makers at all organisational levels and achieve individual sales objectives.
