About the Role: Barnsley Recruitment Services are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our client''s busy manufacturing/production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a range of woodworking machinery, including beamsaws, edgebanders, spindle moulders, planers, and rip saws. A Forklift Licence would be a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain woodworking machinery such as beamsaw, edgebander, spindle moulder, planer, and rip saw. Read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications to produce high-quality components. Conduct routine machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure efficient operation. Monitor output to ensure consistency with quality standards. Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Assist in material handling and movement of goods using a forklift (if licensed). Requirements: Proven experience operating beamsaw, edgebander, spindle moulder, planer, and rip saw. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Forklift Licence preferred but not essential. Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
