Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEMH) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Contract: Full-time/Temp Location: MiddlesbroughAbout the Role Empowering Learning are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a full-time role working closely with children who may display behaviours that challenge, supporting them to access learning and develop positive relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consistent, tailored support to children with SEMH needsUse trauma-informed practices to promote emotional regulation and positive behaviourSupport learning both in and out of the classroomManage and respond calmly to behaviours that challengeBuild strong, trusting relationships with children, staff and parents/carersWork collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary teamSupport the child''s social, emotional and academic developmentEssential RequirementsExperience working with children with SEMH needsA strong understanding of trauma-informed approachesHigh levels of resilience, patience and emotional intelligenceAbility to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent mannerExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsCommitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenAbility to work full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pmAn Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to purchase oneDesirableRelevant qualifications (e.g. T
