The Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:A degree or qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related field (BSc, BEng, MEng, HND, HNC etc.)Previous experience in a similar Product Design or Mechanical Design roleProficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or InventorKnowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and production techniquesA creative and practical approach to product developmentGood understanding of prototyping and testingStrong communication and team collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlinesThe Product Design Engineer role will involve:Designing and developing new products from concept through to manufactureProducing detailed 3D CAD models and drawingsCreating BOMs and technical documentationCollaborating with cross-functional teams including RandD, production, and qualityWorking closely with clients or internal stakeholders to understand requirementsSupporting prototyping, testing, and design validation activitiesEnsuring designs comply with applicable standards and regulationsContinuously improving existing products based on feedback and performanceIf you are interested in
