Pre-Sales Consultant

Location: Basingstoke

Salary: -35,000 - -40,000 + Uncapped OTE + Car allowance

Overview

We are seeking a Pre-Sales Consultant to support the delivery of tailored IT and Cybersecurity solutions to prospective and existing customers. Acting as the technical expert within the sales process, you will work closely with customers and internal teams to understand requirements, design appropriate solutions, and support the successful acquisition of new business.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with customers to understand their IT and cybersecurity requirements.

Conduct discovery meetings and gather technical and business information.

Design and recommend appropriate solutions based on customer needs.

Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution overviews.

Produce proposals, quotations, and supporting technical documentation.

Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle.

Collaborate with sales teams to develop customer solutions and secure new business opportunities.

Maintain knowledge of current technologies, industry trends, and competitor offerings.

Liaise with technical delivery teams to ensure solutions can be successfully implemented.

Skills & Experience

Experience within a Pre-Sales, Solutions Consultant, Technical Consultant, IT Support, or similar role.

Good understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, Microsoft solutions, networking, or cybersecurity.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to translate technical information into clear, customer-friendly language.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.

Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
