First Task Professional are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor on a project in Kilmarnock. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in civils, groundworks and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Setting out and surveying for various civil engineering works and doing check sheets Ensuring works are completed accurately and in accordance with drawings and specifications. Carrying out quality assurance checks and maintaining site records. Liaising with Site Managers, subcontractors and the wider project team. Assisting with technical queries and resolving engineering issues on site. Monitoring progress and ensuring works meet required health and safety standards. Requirements Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects. Strong setting-out experience using robotic total stations and GPS equipment. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. CSCS card. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Own setting-out equipment advantageous but not essential. Interested?
