Our client, a renowned consultancy in the highways sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join their talented team based in Derbyshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in bridge engineering and a passion for working on diverse projects ranging from National Highways to private developments and local authority works.

• Designing and detailing bridge structures for various projects
• Preparing preliminary and detailed design options
• Collaborating with project teams, including tier one contractors and developers
• Managing projects to ensure timely and within budget delivery
• Conducting site inspections and assessments
• Participating in client meetings and presentations
• Guiding and mentoring junior engineers
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations

• Significant experience in bridge engineering, ideally within the highways sector
• Chartered Engineer status or close to achieving chartered status
• Strong understanding of bridge design principles and relevant software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with National Highways, private developers, and local authorities
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Flexibility to work four days in the office and one day from home
