Pay Rate: -90110 per day

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from 8th of June. This is a full-time position working in a Year 2 class, supporting pupils with Autism and mild learning difficulties to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, providing tailored support to meet individual needs, helping children access the curriculum, and promoting positive learning behaviour throughout the day. This role would suit someone patient, caring, and passionate about supporting pupils with additional learning needs.

• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN in Year 2.

• Work one-to-one and with small groups to reinforce key learning.

• Help implement strategies to support emotional regulation and focus.

• Support the class teacher in managing behaviour and adapting lessons.

• Contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar SEN role.

• Understanding of Autism and effective support strategies.

• Positive, proactive, and patient approach to helping children succeed.

• Team player with strong communication skills.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

• Supportive, friendly staff team with excellent leadership.
