Key Responsibilities

  Personalized Learning: Plan and deliver highly individualized lessons that align with EHCP outcomes, focusing on sensory engagement, communication, and life skills.

  Collaborative Approach: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, to develop and implement therapeutic support strategies.

  Specialized Communication Techniques: Utilize a range of alternative communication systems such as PECS, Makaton, Eye Gaze, and other relevant methods.

  Physical and Personal Care: Support physical well-being and personal care routines for students, always with dignity and sensitivity, while helping with mobility and health care plans as required.

  Classroom Environment: Create a nurturing, structured, and safe classroom environment that supports students'' learning and emotional needs.

  Continuous Assessment: Observe and assess students regularly to adapt teaching methods and track progress, ensuring effective learning pathways are in place.

  Parental and Agency Collaboration: Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure a cohesive, integrated approach to student support.
