Hgv Technician
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service our clients fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy, safe, and compliant with all legal and company standards. T Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on HGVs and trailers Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults Perform MOT preparations, safety inspections, and defect rectification Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently Ensure all work complies with DVSA, health and safety, and company regulations Complete accurate job cards, service records, and compliance documentation Respond to vehicle breakdowns and roadside repairs when required Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment Liaise with fleet managers and drivers regarding vehicle condition and repairs Requirements and Qualifications Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent) Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence (preferred but not essential) Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Good understanding of DVSA regulations and vehicle safety standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good time management and attention to detail Due to a very high number of applications, we are unable to come back to every candidate with feedback.
