The Opportunity

A fixed term contract to support a well-established electrical engineering business delivering services at one of the UK''s largest live events - the Farnborough Airshow.

This is a front-of-house, site-based support role, working closely with engineers, contractors and subcontractors throughout the event. You''ll be a key point of contact on site, helping keep operations organised, accurate and running smoothly.

The site is large and fast-paced, so being happy and confident moving across different areas of the site is essential.

You''ll start with a structured onboarding period to learn systems and processes, before stepping into a busy, high-energy environment as the show builds.

The Person

We''re looking for someone who is friendly, organised and detail-focused, with the confidence to interact with engineers and operational teams.

This role would suit someone who:

  • Enjoys being front of house in a practical, working environment
  • Is confident communicating with engineers, contractors and site teams
  • Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right
  • Is comfortable using systems (or keen to learn - training will be provided)
  • Brings a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Is happy working across a large, busy site and staying on their feet

This could suit someone from a retail, hospitality, admin or events background, or someone looking to demonstrate a more Admin / Operational role on their CV.

What You''ll Be Doing

A varied role combining front-of-house support, admin and site coordination:

  • Acting as a key point of contact for engineers and contractors on site
  • Logging and tracking requests, updates and supplies accurately
  • Using internal systems / CRM to maintain records (training provided)
  • Supporting the sale of essential items to contractors, including taking card payments
  • Preparing signage, labels and operational materials
  • Communicating with engineers via radio
  • Supporting day-to-day coordination across the site
  • Assisting with refreshments and general site organisation
  • Occasional trips to collect supplies

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong communication skills and confidence speaking to site teams
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a car everyday of contract
  • Comfortable working in a busy, operational environment

Desirable (not essential):

  • Experience using a CRM or internal system
  • Previous experience in customer-facing, admin or site-based roles
