Our client, a leading organisation in the rail infrastructure sector, is seeking a Section Engineer to join its ancillary civils team on a contract basis at a number of different locations. The role involves supervising site engineering activities, supporting construction operations and assisting the Sub Agent with the delivery of works from construction through to close-out.Key Responsibilities:Managing junior engineers and supervising the site engineering teamOverseeing site setting-out activities and supporting the performance and development of Site EngineersAssisting with temporary works design schemes and resolving technical issues in liaison with the Sub AgentWorking with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materialsMonitoring and coordinating subcontractors to ensure works meet contractual requirements, programme and quality standardsEnsuring site teams have access to current information, drawings and resourcesAssisting with programmes, progress reports, resource plans, cost plans and financial forecastingSupporting the safe and efficient delivery of ancillary civil engineering worksJob Requirements:HNC, degree or equivalent qualification in construction, civil engineering or a related disciplineWorking towards professional membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)Practical knowledge of site engineering activities and construction supervisionExperience in ancillary civils is desirableCSCS certification, including White, ..... full job details .....
