HMP Leeds is a category B remands prisons that houses around 1100 patients. The Leeds team adopts an inclusive, compassionate and punctilious attitude towards each other and their patients. Within this role you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team at HMP Leeds to deliver excellent clinical care.Hours

Sessions run Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm We are able to offer both part time and full time rolesSalary

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £189,900 per annum FTE - depending on experience.How will we support you?

You will be part of a team of 15 plus experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatristsYou will be able to attend monthly Consultant''s meeting and 1:1 clinical supervisionBespoke induction, including our IntroducingHealth in Justice training courseCompetency frameworkCandidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checksWhat you''ll be doing:

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary. Registered professional with current registration (GMC)Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic PsychiatryApproved under section 12 (2) of the MHS 1983Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency workingUp to date knowledge in the adult psychiatry and PD Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislationSecure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
