Fawkes and Reece West are currently working in partnership with a well-established construction company based in Swansea, who are looking to recruit an experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing business, working on a varied portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, primarily across South Wales.The RoleAs Civils Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of civil engineering projects from initial procurement through to final account. Working closely with the operational and commercial teams, you will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of civil engineering projects.Preparing, reviewing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.Monitoring project costs and identifying potential commercial risks and opportunities.Managing subcontractor procurement, including preparing tender packages, analysing quotations and negotiating contracts.Valuing subcontractor applications and preparing client valuations.Managing variations, compensation events and change control throughout the project lifecycle.Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts.Monitoring project progress against budgets and providing regular financial updates.Ensuring contractual notices ..... full job details .....
