Role: Night Shift Print Minder - Number 2
Salary: -31,000 - -33,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:45pm - 6:15am
Hours per week: 38 hours
Shift: Permanent Night Shift

Purpose of a Night Shift Print Minder:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Night Shift Print Minder - Number 2 to join our production team.

Working alongside the Number 1 Print Minder, you will play an important role in the operation and maintenance of lithographic printing equipment, helping to ensure that production targets, quality standards and deadlines are consistently achieved.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience assisting on a lithographic printing press who is looking to develop their technical skills and progress within a busy production environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Night Shift Print Miner:

• Assist the Number 1 Print Minder with the operation and running of Heidelberg lithographic press equipment.
• Prepare materials, inks and consumables for scheduled print jobs.
• Support the efficient set-up, wash-up and changeover of print jobs.
• Monitor print quality throughout production and report any issues or defects promptly.
• Assist with routine maintenance, cleaning and basic troubleshooting of press equipment.
• Help ensure all print jobs are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
• Support colleagues with overtime, shift cover and holiday cover when required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, housekeeping standards and quality control processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a productive, safe and efficient working environment.

Skills & Experience required for a Night Shift Print Minder:

• Previous experience assisting on a lithographic printing press.
• Experience with Heidelberg presses is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong understanding of print production processes and quality standards.
• Ability to identify and resolve equipment or print quality issues efficiently.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
