As a Pre-Assessment Nurse, you''ll help ensure patients are clinically prepared and fully informed ahead of their procedure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive pre-operative assessments
• Triaging and assessing patients to ensure suitability for surgery
• Identifying and escalating potential clinical concerns
• Supporting safe, personalised patient care throughout the surgical pathway
• Providing clear information and reassurance to patients and families
• Working collaboratively with consultants, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams
• Contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

We''re looking for a nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and thrives in a collaborative environment.

You''ll have:

• Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice
• Previous experience within a Pre-Assessment setting
• Acute healthcare experience
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Confidence working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Good IT and electronic patient record skills

Desirable:

• Phlebotomy, venepuncture and ECG competency
• Pre-Operative Assessment Association qualification or training
