Science Academic Coach Immediate start until June 2026 £82 - £105 per day (depending on experience) ''Good'' secondary school, Sandwell Prepare Science GCSE students for May examinationsThe Role:The appointed Science Academic Coach will work with the science department to raise attainment for targeted GCSE pupils ahead of the May exam series. You will deliver structured 1:1 and small group intervention across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, linked to what classes are covering and what pupils need next. You will pre-teach key concepts, revisit weak areas from assessments, and explain ideas in clear steps so pupils apply them accurately in exam questions. A key focus is exam technique, including command words, using evidence in longer answers, showing working in calculations, and avoiding common mistakes with units, significant figures, graphs and data tables. You will also support the practical and working scientifically side of GCSE science by coaching required-practical style questions, methods, variables, and evaluation, so pupils handle the marks that come from practical understanding. You will run short, high-impact practice using exam-style questions, give precise feedback, and track progress across sessions. You will feed back outcomes to class teachers so interventions stay aligned to department priorities and pupil gaps close fast.The Candidate:You bring calm
