This is a varied, hands-on role supporting cargo handling operations across vessels, quaysides, terminals, and storage facilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of cargo while contributing to the smooth turnaround of vessels.Key Responsibilities Work within vessel holds during cargo loading and discharge operations, maintaining constant visual oversight of cargo movements to ensure safe and efficient handling. Direct crane operators using agreed hand signals and radio communications, ensuring the accurate positioning, loading, and discharge of cargo. Support and coordinate cargo handling activities, allocating work where required and ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Liaise with supervisors, operators, vessel crews, and dockside teams to ensure operations are carried out in accordance with cargo plans and vessel requirements. Follow operational plans, shipboard procedures, and safe access protocols, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
