It is an essential requirement for this Field Service Engineer position that you are a multiskilled engineer with the ability to maintain and repair hydraulic and electrical circuits, have a good mechanical knowledge and be able to carry out basic fabrication activities. You will be provided with a company vehicle and tasked with visiting customer sites throughout the North Midlands region of the UK (so ideally will be based in or around the Derby, Nottingham, Stoke-on-Trent or Sheffield area) conducting servicing and general works on the complete range of special purpose machinery. This includes PPM and servicing as well as fault finding for breakdowns, diagnosing faults on electrical control panels / circuits and hydraulic circuits and effecting repairs as required as well as conducting basic fabrication and mechanical repairs where necessary.
