Cost Controller



The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cost Controller to join a leading specialist contractor delivering works on one of the UK''s largest infrastructure programmes.

Working within a major project environment, you''ll support the commercial and finance teams by delivering accurate cost reporting, forecasting and financial analysis while helping to ensure strong commercial governance across the project.

• Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare regular cost reports and analyse financial performance.
• Support forecasting, accruals and committed cost reporting.
• Assist with audit activities and ensure compliance with project procedures.
• Work closely with commercial, procurement and operational teams to provide financial insight.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, governance and cost efficiency.
• Support accurate financial planning and project decision-making.

We''re looking for candidates with:

• Previous experience as a Cost Controller, Project Accountant or Commercial Finance professional.
• Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA (or equivalent).
• Experience working on construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or engineering projects.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle or similar.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with NEC contracts, major infrastructure projects or Tier 1 contractors would be highly advantageous.
