Overview

The roleThe purpose of this role is to provide front line support, maintenance, and development of Infor Sun Systems and associated products (Bank Reconciliation, QandA, Data Lake, interfaces), supporting Finance team. This role will lead Infor Subsystems automation within the team highlighting opportunities for development and provide a robust maintenance support whilst ensuring a high level of Financial Control.Additional Support should be provided for any business transformation project or group technology led change project.Key responsibilitiesResponsibility for support, maintenance and development of Sun Accounts and ancillary products.Support and train local and wider business in the use of Sun AccountsAssist and support the team in provision of Finance systems (Sun accounts and modules, system interfaces)Provide first line support for Sun Accounts users.Act as point of contact to ensure successful issue resolution and update customers according to agreed service level agreements.Comply with best practice financial controls for finance systems that reduce risk to the company’s financial accounts, bank accounts and financial data. Ensure coherence to the group system security and Data Governance policies and facilitate/respond to audit reviews.Development and maintenance of existing processes requiring SQL or VBA expertise.Be team representative responsible for liaising with Group Technology on technical issues (e.g. Interface/Data Lake/SQL/Server/Database issues)Responsible for regular Business as usual tasks (e.g. Data Loads, reconciliations, database maintenance)The above duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list and you may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties compatible with your experience and competencies. This description may be varied from time to time to reflect changing business requirements.Essential qualifications, skills and experienceExperience and knowledge of Insurance methods of trading, industry operational practices and procedures.Understanding of data structures and experience of extracting and utilising data to drive key strategic decisions, including the production of insightful analysis.Financial controls and an appreciation for financial/management accountingStrong communication and Stakeholder management skills.Systems development and change control.Sun Sub System User or Sun Systems Administration experience covering:Maintenance of Static DataBusiness Unit and Ledger Setup AdministrationUser ManagerQandA skills to advanced levelThorough understanding of the structure of Sun (LA codes / CoA)Transfer DeskAssisting end users with ad-hoc queries around Sun/QandABank Reconciliation software (desirable but not essential)Data Lakes
