Our client is a leading processing business with sites across the UK and Ireland and due to continued investment and expansion are now looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join their established maintenance team at their site in East Lothian. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the successful candidate will work closely with the wider maintenance team to ensure optimal plant performance, minimise downtime, and maximise operational throughput. Responsibilities Respond promptly to plant downtime to minimise disruption and maximise productivity Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or replacement of electrical equipment Record all maintenance activities accurately using internal IT systems Fault find, interrogate and resolve issues across plant machinery and systems Participate in planned maintenance shutdowns and seasonal overhauls Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings Carry out maintenance and overhaul of plant and equipment as required Complete work permits and ensure full compliance with health and safety standards Build strong working relationships across maintenance and production teams Support project work and additional tasks as required Provide shift cover where necessary Skills and Experience Qualified to 18th Edition standard Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment PLC experience is desirable Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines High attention to
