We are working with a tier 1 contractor who is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team to lead on managing the commercial delivery of their social housing planned refurbishment contracts in The North West, and mentor a Junior QS.

Description
- Take commercial responsibility for planned refurbishment contracts from start to finish.
- Manage contract performance, budgets, costs, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Prepare and manage valuations, applications for payment, variations and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs, margins, cash flow and commercial performance.
- Manage and negotiate subcontractor accounts, procurement and payments.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and operational teams to ensure successful contract delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with housing associations, local authorities, clients and supply chain partners.
- Ensure contractual obligations are understood and effectively managed.
- Lead commercial reviews and provide accurate reporting to senior management.
- Support the resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
- Mentor and support Junior Quantity Surveyors.
Profile
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor within the social housing refurbishment.
- Strong experience managing planned refurbishment contracts, ideally within social housing.
- Experience working with housing associations, local authorities etc.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, valuations, variations, subcontractor management and final accounts.
- Commercially driven with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Experience using relevant commercial and project management systems.
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management is desirable.
- RICS membership or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
Job Offer
- -55,000 - -65,000 base salary
