Wyatt Partners are retained on a Search for a Data Leader to join the leadership team of a product-focused consumer tech company with a multi-billion valuation.

Technical Perspective:Data from all customer interactions is stored in a single BigQuery project.Data models are built using Airflow + dbt, with Looker used for dashboards and analysis.While there is room for improvement in deploying ML models and tool sharpening, the current setup is generally in good shape.Organizationally, however, the Data Function has struggled to keep pace with the company''s growth and evolving needs.Initially, a small data team with a company-wide self-serve capability and high data literacy supported early growth. Scaling this approach to our current size (-2000 employees) has proven challenging.There are approximately 80 data staff, working within interdisciplinary teams across product groups, reporting to leaders with varying data expertise and expectations.The role''s key challenges include:Designing and delivering an effective Data organization and team model to maximize impact.Partnering with the Executive team to influence strategic decision-making through analytics.Overseeing Data Governance and Data Management, including Data Quality, Self-Serve enablement, Metadata Management, Data Protection, and Privacy.Aligning with the Business Strategy and executing the Data Strategy accordingly.Building influence across the organization and developing key relationships.We seek a candidate who has previously led a Data function and addressed similar challenges within a high-growth environment.Please apply for the Director of Data role below.#J-18808-Ljbffr
