An established manufacturing business is looking to strengthen its machine shop team with an experienced CNC Machinist / Machine Shop Operative. This is a hands-on role within a precision engineering environment, suited to someone who enjoys variety, accuracy and working to exacting standards. What you''ll be doing: Machining aerospace components using CNC turning, CNC milling and manual machinery.Working from engineering drawings, job cards and machining instructions.Carrying out inspection checks, including first-offs and in-process checks.Accurately recording work completed via shop-floor systems.Supporting the smooth flow of parts through the machine shop.Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and quality. What you''ll need to be successful: Background in machining or manufacturing (aerospace experience is highly advantageous).Experience with CNC machines (turning and/or milling).Confident reading technical drawings.Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.Comfortable in a fast-paced, production-led environment.A good level of physical fitness.Reliable, proactive and team-focused.
