HGV Technician – 4 on 4 off

Peterborough | £15–£20 per hour DOE

Description

We are recruiting for an HGV Technician to join a growing commercial vehicle workshop in the Peterborough area.

Salary – £15–£20 per hour, depending on experience

Shift Pattern

• 4 on 4 off.
• Overtime available.

The HGV Technician Role

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs, light vehicles and trailers.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside.
• Complete job cards and service records.
• Follow health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification or proven relevant experience.
• Recent experience in the motor trade within the last two years.
• Own tools required.
• Full driving licence.
• HGV licence advantageous but not essential.
• LCV experience would be beneficial.
• Diagnostic experience beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
