Domestic Abuse Refuge Manager Salary: circa 30,800 per annumLocation: LeicesterIn partnership with a well respected charity, I am recruiting for an experienced Domestic Abuse Refuge Manager to lead the operations of a 24-hour refuge in Leicester, providing a safe and supportive environment for women and children escaping domestic violence.You will join a non-profit charity dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic abuse.As Refuge Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the service. Key responsibilities include:Managing staff rotas and team performanceBudgeting and financial oversightStaff recruitment, training, and developmentSupporting residents with benefit claims and housing needsMaintaining accurate records and using internal systemsDelivering presentations and building relationships with local authorities, community groups, and partner organisationsEssential RequirementsWe are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in work with vulnerable people, especially domestic abuse victims, women, young people, and childrenMinimum of three years in a care or social welfare settingGood written and verbal communication skillsFluent in English and at least one main BAME languageAbility to work flexible and unsociable hoursStrong administrative skillsInterpreting skillsListening and counselling skillsKnowledge of multi-agency partnership working across statutory and voluntary sectorsFull UK driving licen
