We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, engaging, and highly motivated Music teacher to join a thriving and forward-thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner who is passionate about Music education and keen to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the subject within the school.
The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated subject specialists who bring a wide range of expertise and a shared commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. You will be expected to deliver inspiring and well-structured lessons that engage students of all abilities, fostering both a love of music and strong academic progress.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teaching the OCR GCSE Music syllabus, incorporating elements of World Music and Popular Music
- Using a range of teaching strategies to support all learners and maximise achievement
- Promoting and developing students'' literacy and oracy skills within Music lessons
- Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the department
- Supporting extracurricular activities such as clubs, ensembles, or performances (desirable)
