Job Description
As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting children''s learning, development, and wellbeing within early years settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children''s learning through play and structured activities
- Promoting children''s physical, emotional, and social development
- Maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Observing, monitoring, and recording children''s progress
- Adhering to safeguarding, health and safety, and setting policies at all times
Person Specification
Essential
- Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
- Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children''s welfare
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
- Previous experience working within nurseries, schools, or children''s centres
- Experience supporting children from birth to five years
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child development
- Flexibility and adaptability across different settings
