Candidates must have full right to work in the UK Our client, a key player in the energy industry specialising in hydrogen production and distribution, is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering activities at a hydrogen plant. This is a permanent, full-time role with a hybrid working model, combining office-based work with on-call support. The engineer will be pivotal in maintaining safety, compliance, and reliability across the facility''s electrical systems, ensuring it operates efficiently within the evolving energy landscape. Key Responsibilities: Act as the electrical technical authority for HV and LV systems, setting standards and approving deviations.Lead on electrical statutory compliance, maintaining registers and delivering procedures, training, and audits for EAWR, DSEAR/UKEX, and BS 7671.Develop and maintain safety rules for electrical systems, including permits to work, isolation procedures, and competency management in line with HSG85.Design and verify HV and LV distribution systems, including protection coordination, earthing strategies, and switching schedules.Ensure hazardous areas involving hydrogen meet IEC/BS EN 60079 standards, performing HAC assessments, selecting Ex equipment, and defining EPL classifications.Implement asset management frameworks, reliability programmes, and risk-ba
